"There’s something about the scent of high-quality Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon aged in new oak that’s as intoxicating as anything in the world of wine. Even more pleasurable is when the flavors and texture surpass the aroma. This 100% Cabernet blend, made from grapes grown in Diamond Mountain, Atlas Peak and Oak Knoll, is stunningly delicious. True, the tannins are on the fierce side. But they don’t prevent immediate pleasure because they’re as soft and luxurious as fur. Such an intensity of blackberries, currants and blueberries, while the oak influence is perfectly balanced. This Cab represents mastery of the arts of blending and barrel selection. The complexity is enormous. Every sip reveals exciting new layers. The wine is guaranteed to develop in the bottle for a long time." 2019 Touché 99 points -- Steve Heimoff
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Touche is a blend of 64% Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Rutherford Petit Verdot. It was aged for 19 months in French oak, 80% new. Deep garnet-purple in color, it has a powerful nose of plum preserves, warm cassis and spiced blackberries with touches of mocha, black licorice, Sichuan pepper and potpourri plus a waft of lavender. Full-bodied, this is a full-on pedal-to-the-metal Cab, bursting with preserved black fruits and exotic spice layers with a tantalizing texture of achingly soft tannins, finishing with great length and depth. POW! What an impact." 98 points -- Lisa Perrotti-Brown
"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Touché, which is the Reserve bottling, is a blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon from Diamond Mountain, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon from Mt. Veeder, 8% Cabernet Franc from Mt. Veeder, and 3% Merlot from Diamond Mountain. This wine speaks to the great blending genius of the late Denis Malbec. A sensational wine with loads of complexity, floral notes, blueberry, black raspberry, blackcurrant, earth and spice, the wine is full-bodied, gorgeously rich, yet at the same time, elegant. It is long, dense, and a tour de force that should drink well for 25-30 years."
